Face off: Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West
Kanye West garnered tons of criticism after he decided to get on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to grab the spotlight  from country singer Taylor Swift.
Now, will the singers be comfortable as they get to meet again in the close confines at this year's event in Los Angeles on Sunday?
Both are expected to give live performances, separately. Airing live form Nokia Theater, however an on-screen rematch is a different issue. The event starts at 9 p.m. ET.
West, disappeared for awhile from the public following his unexpected  outburst. He reportedly reached out to Swift a week ago through Twitter messages.
West apologized, and added that he had written a song for Swift which he would perform if she would not take it.
Meanwhile, amid all West's efforts, Swift has not yet replied, publicly. The two singers have new albums set to be released in the fall, within three weeks of each other, so the the rift might probably extend to the charts as well.

Watch 2010 MTV Video Music Award

After endless preparation,the much awaited event has finally arrived. The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards has just landed.
Live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, the 2010 VMAs vow to be the most memorable in the show's history. With performances by Eminem, who will open the show. Kanye West, Drake, Justin Bieber, Paramore, B.o.B, Linkin Park, Florence and the Machine, Usher and in-house music provided by deadmau5.
In addition to that, all of our favorite celebrities will present, like Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, 30 Seconds to Mars, the casts of "Glee," "Jackass" and "Jersey Shore," Rick Ross, Selena Gomez and dozens more. They will all make the celebration a fun night to remember.
Instead of  a red carpet, white carpet will be used, as the stars strut their way donning their favorite designer's creations.

Susan Boyle Cried after being Snubbed by Lou Reed

Dreaming to belt it out a Lou Reed song for American viewers, Susan Boyle ended up sobbing.
Reportedly, the unexpected chart-topper's plans to perform Reed's "Perfect Day" on "America's Got Talent" together with a children's choir were halted at the last minute this week after the former Velvet Underground member did not permit Boyle to use his 1972 SONG.
A source said to New York Post, "Lou didn't want Susan to perform his song, and he's not a Susan fan,"
"It's a big deal to change a song at the last minute. Susan was really upset. She was in tears and was forced to pull out of the show, and decided to come back to the UK."
Boyle, won a second place on the British version of the show. According to reports, whe was vey upset about the decision.
There were also reports from a source that at  Los Angeles airport, Boyle was "sobbing her heart out."

Jessica Simpson Guest Judge of Project Runway Finale

 
 
Another season of Project Runway has to come to an end, and to make the finale memorable, Jessica Simpson was a guest judge of the reality fashion show.
Simpson went  to the Project Runway Spring 2011 fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Thursday September 9 in New York City.
The singer  joined Michael Kors, Nina Garcia and Heidi Klum as a guest judge for the show’s finale runway show.
 

Jennifer Aniston and Josh Hopkins Dating?

Just two weeks ago, an announcement was made  that Jennifer Aniston will guest on her BFF Courteney Cox’s series "Cougar Town."

Now, this just this past Thursday, Aniston, 40, was spotted on a two-hour Italian dinner with Josh Hopkins, 39, at Madeo in Beverly Hills.

An eyewitness said, “She seemed very excited about her date,”

“She and Josh sat at a more private table and they seemed to get along great.”

The source added, “It was obvious that they don’t know each other well, but there was a flirty energy between them and Jen looked very happy. been in the best mood lately. She is trying to do whatever makes her happy, which includes going on fun dates with interesting men.”

Official: Kara DioGuardi leaves American Idol

It has been made official, Kara DioGuardi will not come back for the 10th season of American Idol. This news was announce by Fox during a press release this evening. It came out from an email before the Labor Day weekend.
“I felt like I won the lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol,” said DioGuardi, in a statement released by Fox. “I am very proud to have been associated with American Idol  — it has truly been an amazing experience. I am grateful to FOX, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10!”
For several weeks, speculations have been going around why Kara can't come back. There are reasons about ratings, and that she was not favored to a three-person judges' panel.
Nevertheless, the people at Idol will miss DioGuardi.

According to executive producer Craig Thomas, “It’s going to be a satisfying third chapter in the Robin Sparkles trilogy,”
“It’s a prequel to both ‘Let’s Go to the Mall’ and ‘Sandcastles in the Sand.’”

CNN is asking Larry King to extend his hosting gig

Famous news anchor Larry King is being asked by CNN to extend his show Larry King Live at least until the end of the year.  King officially announced his retirement on June 25 after being on primetime television for 25 years.  He wanted to spend more time with his wife and kids.
 
Reports stated that King came to a decision after his wife, Shawn Southwick, was found unconscious in late May with a suicide note beside her.  King and Southwick earlier filed for divorce but called it off afterwards.
 
King’s replacement, British journalist and America’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, is having troubles obtaining a work visa that will allow him to work full time in the U.S.  According to one attorney, the process of obtaining this type of visa “has gotten much slower in the past year.” More paperwork requirements for immigrants are needed as the federal government tightens its policy regarding working visas.

Charice and Harry Shum Jr. compliments each other

Harry Shum Jr.of Glee plays it cool with Filipino singing sensation Charice on the set of  Glee on Friday August 20.
Earlier, it was confirmed that Charice would join the cast and would play a foreign exchange student whose  vocals would get Rachel (Lea Michele) contemplating murder.
“You were incredible today!!” Harry tweeted to Charice after a long day on set. “I loved your MJ moves. Super fresh is one talented girl!”
Charice responded, “Thanks. I love your no bones super mega ultra moves! Definitely you were born from a boombox! Hahahaha!”

The True Blood Rolling Stone cover is expected to be talked about for a while. On the  Rolling Stone cover, three of the shows stars posed in the nude, with blood dripping all over their body.
Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse), Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), and Alexander Skarsgard (Eric Northman) standing together, in what seems to be no clothing at all. Paquin was between the two hot guys with her back to husband Moyer as he holds her tight, and faces Skarsgard who races her leg to his side.
It's expected that some people will criticize the cover, however it is also expected to be sold out.

Tyra Banks Apologizes for 'Top Model' Promo With Stick-Thin Model

An apology was issued by Tyra Banks  after a controversial new "America's Next Top Model" promo featuring a 6'2" model with a shockingly thin waist.

 

"On behalf of the entire 'Top Model' team, I am truly sorry for the style in which the 'Top Model' promo clip was presented," she writes on Tyra.com. "Like all of my projects, I am extremely involved in 'America's Next Top Model' from casting the final contestants to conceptualizing the episode challenges, but with all the work and details that go into producing a TV show, I can't be 100 places at once (although I try), but it's just impossible for me to see everything that's created before it's released to all of you! That being said I can assure you — that cut has been removed from the CW airwaves, and the message conveyed in that video was NOT intentional, and is certainly not 'Top Model'- or Tyra-approved. The 'Top Model' team is extremely talented and truly enjoys creating fun, engaging promos and episodes for you. The team really wants to entertain you, while promoting and embracing multiple forms of beauty. Danielle Staub booted out from Real Housewives of New Jersey

Rumor is spreading around that Danielle Staub has been fired from Bravo's "Real Housewives of New Jersey."
Life & Style magazine tells that an "insider" who says, “Danielle was told that she would not return for the third season,” which "came as a complete shock” to the star, whose unbeweavable fight with cast mate Teresa Giudice pulled in record ratings for Bravo.
Whether she stays or not, Bravo is all mum about it since they’ve still got bigger tables to flip with the rest of season two.
“We're focused on season two right now,” a Bravo representative told CNN. “We have a fantastic finale coming up next week and a jaw-dropping 2-part reunion that airs on August 30 and September 6.”
Is Staub the reason behind why the reunion is so jaw-dropping? Only time will tell.
In the meantime, who will and won't be joining  after season two, the Bravo rep emphasized, "We haven't announced anything regarding a third season.”
 

America's Got Talent found its Susan Boyle in Jackie Evancho

 
A fourth-grader walked in her pretty pink dress, with her blonde hair neatly bobbed, it seems difficult to visualize that she would be able to give out an outstanding performance.
However America's Got talent may have just found it's Susan Boyle in Jackie Evancho's person, who knows, she might even go far since she's still pretty young.
Amazingly, at 10-years-old, Jackie Evancho has a voice praiseworthy of any opera stage.
Evancho belted out a polished and pitch-perfect Puccini aria. As Piers Morgan told her, her voice was three times her age.
Jackie sang O Mio Babbino Caro, in a voice which sounded former child star Charlotte Church at her best.
Her magnificent performance amazed the crowd, it won her a standing ovation, and thrilled the judges.



 

Jennifer Lopez will not join American Idol

After weeks of fuzz and buzz, report says Jennifer Lopez is no longer considered as a judge on American Idol’s upcoming season.
Earlier, excitement grew when news broke that Latin entertainer will most likely join the show; but, a source tells People that the deal was off.
“Her demands got out of hand,” People’s source said simply. “FOX had just had enough.”
Meanwhile, Steven Tyler has also reportedly been offered a spot on the judging panel.
 

Lea Michele Dresses like Britney in 'Baby One More Time'

"Glee" star Lea Michele was spotted donning a classic Britney Spears look during downtime on the set of Glee on Wednesday.
Michele,23, wears Brit’s “Baby One More Time” gymnasium scene outfit a yellow sports top and red sweat pants.
In a more positive note, Lea may be getting famous, but she hasn’t forgotten her manners. According to The New York Post, Lea had a recent photoshoot and was so taken with a Jill Stuart creation she wore for a Teen Vogue shoot, she asked permission from the designer if she could keep it.
Jill’s team aloowed her and commented, “It’s a breath of fresh air to have such a respectful young actress not feel overly entitled to just take items, but instead kindly reach out to us to ask permission.”
 

Whoopi Goldberg vs Real Housewives of DC Star

"The View" talkshow continues to make waves, this time it includes Whoopi Goldberg and Michaele Salahi of  Real Housewives of DC.
It began like the typical episodes of The View on Wednesday. Co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Joy Behar asked their guests with tough yet playful questions. However, at the backstage after the show, the real drama rolled out.
Michaele Salahi and her Real Housewives of D.C. and other casts like Mary Schmidt Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Catherine Ommanney and Stacie Scott Turner guested on the ABC talk show, the new reality star was baffled after saying that Whoopi Goldberg, who was offstage for the segment, walked on the set, touched her arm and tried to regain he focus on the current topic: her alleged crashing of the White House state state dinner last November.
Though the brief encounter happened no more than several seconds of airtime, offstage, an unexpected scene reportedly happened. Salahi and her husband Tareq aired their complaints to producers about what she tells PEOPLE was a “humiliating and torturous” experience at the hands of Goldberg — and her View co-hosts.
“The first encounter I had with this woman is her grabbing my arm and telling me to change the subject,” Salahi tells PEOPLE in a phone interview Thursday. “It was very inappropriate … They want to torture me. I didn’t know would be this horrific.”
On thaat same interview segment, Salahi also had an altercation with her Housewives costar Erkiletian, who accused Tareq throwing  a glass of red wine on her at a recent press event in Los Angeles.  The interview was testy, and afterward Salahi said, “When I got off stage I was fine, but then I began to cry. Whoopi came in and said ‘Did you say that I hit you?’ “
Based on a statement on ABC’s Web site, Salahi told producers that Goldberg “hit” her. Salahi tells PEOPLE she used the word “grab.”
Goldberg did no denial about the backstage confrontation happened, but vehemently denied that she hit Salahi. “You know how I ,” she said, “choice words. And I make no apology for my choice words.”
However the situation went to another level when Salahi’s husband Tareq entered the scene.
“Tareq, my husband, said you need to apologize to my wife,” Salahi tells PEOPLE. “Whoopi doesn’t like to be told what to do. He said, ‘We’re just guests and this is an inappropriate way to treat guests.’ “
But Goldberg says Tareq “got in face, had his BlackBerry out and started taking pictures of me. And needless to say, I really went off on him. And there was even more choice words. It was so choice, you could have cut it with a knife and eaten them.”
At this point, Salahi says, “I was really sobbing. I just wanted to get out of there.”
While Goldberg refused to comment anymore, co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck read a statement on air from Salahi’s camp saying that no charges were levied after the alleged White House crashing incident, Salahi says she doesn’t understand where all the purported hostility came from on the set of The View.
“Whoopi, I don’t know you. I never saw Sister Act,” she says. “I don’t know much about her. The fact that I have had no encounters with her except this hostility, I don’t know where it’s coming from. It’s just another really painful learning lesson.”
 

Lea Michele talks about Charice

Lea Michele “Glee's” lead star said she and international singing sensation Charice’s characters might end up as best friends.
In the latest season of “Glee,” Charice's role is a a Filipino exchange student. She will be Rachel Berry’s played by Michele, as biggest rival.
In an interview with Michele during her  visit at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California, the actress hinted that the reports might be a little bit exaggerated.
"Just hearing her singing, hum backstage, she has gorgeous voice. I would give more credit than that. I mean she's going to be a rival in the sense… we will probably become best friends or something, do you know what I mean?” she said.
“I don’t think it's going to be what you think it’s going to be, that's my prediction. But we might be in a catfight, I don't know," Michele said.
Michele disclosed that she and Charice already shot a “hilarious scene the other day."
The American actress was also all praises for the 18-year-old Filipino singer.
"She's tiniest, the most person I've ever seen in my life. And she's so darling and she's so sweet," Michele said.
The second season of “Glee” will air on September 21 on Fox.

Rubicon gets good ratings

Dubbed as  political thriller series, Rubicon seems to be setting a new breed in television.
The show lured 2 million viewers Sunday night from 8-10PM, setting it the network's most-watched original drama series premiere ever.
After 'Mad Men' and 'Breaking Bad', this is AMC's third series, and it appears to be on a winning line.
Comparing, 'Mad Men's' fourth season opener, which drew 2.9 billion viewers, the Sunday's episode attracted 2.5 million viewers following 'Rubicon.'
The 'Rubicon' made pundits surprise by the result, since the series' buzz was relatively quiet; AMC had already aired the pilot (to 1.1 million viewers) once after the 'Breaking Bad' finale in June. Additionally, the show had already been sampled by another 3.5 million pairs of eyeballs via VOD, iTunes and Hulu, Deadline Hollywood reported.
Charlie Collier, president and GM of AMC, said in a statement,"With last night's premiere of 'Rubicon,' AMC is now three for three with our original series, Rubicon' joins our hit series 'Mad Men' and 'Breaking Bad'  cementing AMC's Sunday night as the place to go for premium programming on basic cable."
Rubicon can be watched next Sunday, and will move to its regular schedule, 9 PM.

Perrey Reeves to appear on Entourage

If you are a fan of Perrey Reeves, now here's a good treat for you, for she is set to appear in the new epi of Entourage.
She will be Mrs. Ari and you can catch her on HBO at 21:30 ET.
Reeves started her career in 1989 and earlier before joining the camera, she has finished her studies first from Italy and France. She was appearing in Entourage in 2004 , and even guested on Grey's Anatomy in 2009. Aside from those popular tv series, she has been a part of Family Style and Rules of Engagement. She became popular  for her roles as Marissa in the Old School following her appearance in the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith as Jessie.

Jennifer Aniston, Latest Cougar Town' Star

 

Rumor has it,  Jennifer Aniston will reunite with with Courteney Cox,  her "Friends" co-star  in an upcoming episode of ABC comedy Cougar Town.
The said episode will air early on in the second season, which starts on on Wednesday, Sept. 22, EW reports.
Aside from Friends, Jen and Courteney have shared screen  again on Courteney’s FX dramedy Dirt in 2007. The two gorgeous ladies made ruckus when Jen kissed Courteney on an episode.
Now, with Jennifer again on Courteney's Cougar Town, for sure it will double the fun again.
