Eva Longoria Not Allowed to Get Pregnant

Eva Longoria wants to start a family of her own badly, but unfortunately "Desperate Housewives producers won't allow her to be pregnant in 2010.

The actress claims she wants to have kids with her basketball star husband Tony Parker, but TV bosses have requested her to postpone baby plans, after her co-star Marcia Cross' pregnancy in 2006.

Longoria Parker says, "Tony and I are working on expanding our family. But the producer has forbidden me from getting pregnant this year. Seriously! Marcia's pregnancy came as a big surprise and posed a big problem for the script writers. Even so, I love being a real housewife. I cook, I clean up, I do Tony's washing."

She admits her busy work schedule may also delay motherhood: "I work three to four days a week (in Los Angeles) and then fly to Texas to spend a long weekend with Tony. This means we can only have sex on the weekends."
